With their classic punk rock sound and old-school, greaser imagery I really like the style they are known for. How can you lose with the use of pin-up girls, motorcycles, skeletons, and prison!? I would work mainly with pin-ups and motorcycles, a Social Distortion Garage of sorts, with live band shots worked into the booklet. I don't think i could try to do anything different with such an iconic band, i would feel dirty.

People I like...

Artist: Shaz Madani

About: Shaz Madani was feathered on TheSerif.net. He (or she, I'm not sure) was a graphics student at the London College of Communication. His work is often in the style of pamphlets and posters my personal favorite being a project called Artic Paper (seen above). This project uses cut papers in a 3D design making good

use of light and shadow to define shape. The images were then photographed and put into a pamphlet about more environmentally safe ways to use paper.

Web: www.smadani.com

Artist: Saul Bass

About: Saul Bass is a legend in the Graphic Design world. His most popular work can be seen in many classic movies designing both the movie posters and opening title sequences. He worked on such movies as: The Shining, West Side Story, Anatomy of a Murder, and many others. His work with title sequences has been described as the best such work ever seen. His style is very recognizable using few colors for each piece and having an almost block feeling. Above is his title shot for Anatomy of a Murder. This really shows off his style and what he did for movies. All of his work was made my hand and each frame had to be carefully placed.

web: www.Saulbass.tv

<img style="display:block;
