Invisible Creature:
Artist: Ryan and Don Clark
About: Ryan and Don are accomplished graphic designers who do and have done work for many popular musical artist. You've probably already seen their work and didn't realized it was these talented brothers. Most notably they design all the needs for their own band Demon Hunter. Apart from that they've also worked with the Foo Fighters, Will.I.Am, He Is Legend, Tool, and many others. They do mainly CD packages but have also done magazine layouts and posters. Above is a CD package they designed for the band Bleeding Through. The cover art and the band photos on the inside are all just a gruesome and remarkably done completely in photoshop. The brothers discuss the process and ideas here:

Artist: Shaz Madani
About: Shaz Madani was feathered on TheSerif.net. He (or she, I'm not sure) was a graphics student at the London College of Communication. His work is often in the style of pamphlets and posters my personal favorite being a project called Artic Paper (seen above). This project uses cut papers in a 3D design making good
use of light and shadow to define shape. The images were then photographed and put into a pamphlet about more environmentally safe ways to use paper.

Artist: Saul Bass
About: Saul Bass is a legend in the Graphic Design world. His most popular work can be seen in many classic movies designing both the movie posters and opening title sequences. He worked on such movies as: The Shining, West Side Story, Anatomy of a Murder, and many others. His work with title sequences has been described as the best such work ever seen. His style is very recognizable using few colors for each piece and having an almost block feeling. Above is his title shot for Anatomy of a Murder. This really shows off his style and what he did for movies. All of his work was made my hand and each frame had to be carefully placed.

Artist: Noah Kalina
About: Noah is a photographer with some very interesting stuff. I know photography isn't really "graphic design" but its used quite a bit and i really like Mr. Kalina's work. Above is a photo he did of accomplished drummer of The R
oots ?uestlove. He's also worked with Sugir Ro
s, Sia, and The Black Lips. His style really shows through in this photo of ?uest with the shots never feeling over done or over worked. The majority of his pictures are not of beautiful landscapes or look like they've been photoshoped to fix problems. He also has a very nice series of self-portraits of himself in vegas that should be checked out by all.

Artist: Not sure.
About: I found this poster at Tstout.com. I'm not sure who did it all I could find on their site were emails to certain departments: illustration, purchasing, other questions. But the website is put together very well and the posters that they have are amazing. Above is a poster they did for the band The Mars Volta, all the posters on this site have this same feel- very detailed, gritty, and creative. The majority of the posters are for band or music festivals but there are also some for movies, and some for bands that look like movie posters! Other bands they done work for inclued: Flight of the Conchords, Exbestfriends, and Clay You Hands Say Yeah. But no matter who they work for they the style of art always works well with the style of music the band plays.
